Speed is adjusted by manually turning a handwheel integral with the variator
driving shaft; upon reaching the desired speed rate, the handwheel is locked
by means of a lock knob.Speed may be adjusted either with the variator running
or at standstill.
This type of speed adjustment is normaly fitted unless the client requires a precise adjustment (see following paragraph) and may be
arranged,upon request,either on side "A" or on side "B".

b) MICROMETER ADJUSTMENT OVER A WORM SCREW AND HELICAL GEAR.
The reduction gear ratio of the movement of this type of adjustment is of
1:15 . About 7 to 10 turns of the handwheel, depending upon the type of speed
variator (see
technical documentation), are required for passing from the minimum
to the maximum output speed. Speed adjustment may be out with the variator
both running or at a standstill.
THE SLOW WORM SEREW TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT MAY BE FITTED INTO ANY KIND OF
VARIATOR ALSO WITH REDUCTION GEAR.
